Sourdough starter crackers
Ingredients
200g sourdough starter
20g melted butter or ghee or olive oil
1g salt
Topping (optional)
dried herbs, sesame or Nigella seeds
Method
Mix all the ingredients well.
Spread thinly directly on a baking tray or use a silicone mat/parchment paper.
Sprinkle with dried herbs, sesame or Nigella seeds.
Put in a heated oven (160C) for 10 minutes, score squares with a table knife while the dough is still soft (you can skip this step and break the crackers into odd shapes after baking).
Continue baking for 35-45 minutes until the crackers are very crispy.
Break into pieces if you didn’t score earlier.
Store in a jar or any airtight container.
